PARAMOTOR TRIKE TRAINING COURSES

It is necessary that you have done at least the basic paragliding course before you enrol for the Paramotor Trike course. The training will be conducted on your own equipment- trike
and paraglider. The following fees is instructional charges only.

Note:
1. People who are above 50 years of age will be required to pay an extra amount of Rs. 2000/- (Towards extra coaching)
2. People who are over 85 kg will be required to pay an extra amount of Rs. 2000/-(Since bigger gliders are required and longer period to learn)
3. Progress of the course will primarily depend on the aptitude of the students. Weaker students may take longer time to get trained. If necessary, one extra session over and above the regular session, may be provided at the school's cost. If more than one session is required then the student has to pay Rs.3000/- per session thereafter.
Beginner Trike flying Course ( P-1 level )
Course Duration: Four days
Venue: Plain grounds around Hadapsar, Pune.
Time of the day: Either morning 7:30 to 10:00 or Evening 4:30 to Sun set
Duration per day: Two to three hours
Requirements:
a) Age 16 and above up to the age of medical fitness.
b) Minimum qualification Std. Xth
c) Medical and Physical fitness.
You will be required to submit the following documents:
a) Two I-card size photographs
b) Rs.50/- blank stamp paper for Indemnity bond
c) Fees on the day of enrolment (Fees are non-refundable if you abort the course in between)
d) Any authentic document reflecting date of birth.

Course Tips
1. Simple clothes like Jean pant, full sleeved T-shirt, Sports shoes, one full scape notebook of 100 pages and two litres of drinking water per day.
2. No loose objects on person which are capable of flying into the rotating propeller.
3. Spectacles should be fastened with a chord around the head.
4. The training will be carried out subject to weather conditions. If the weather is unsuitable, the course gets postponed.
5. Students are required to have their own vehicle for commuting to the flying site. We will make arrangements for out station students.
6. A Certificate will be awarded at the end of successful completion of the course
7. We undertake out-station training camps for at least minimum number of 3 students. If there are unobstructed huge grounds on the outskirt of your town, our expert team will come and train you at your own home ground. Travel, lodging and boarding cost extra.
Day-wise training syllabus (Trike)
Day One
First day is spent in orientation, a brief classroom briefing and the ground handling of paraglider. The various parts of the trike and their functions are taught. Do's and dont's of trike flying is explained. A briefing on the various safety measures, its basic care & maintenance and Inspection is given. During ground training you are taught the following exercise:
1. Various parts of the Paramotor trike,
2. Pre and Post flight Inspecting
3. Assembly and fittings
4. Laying out of the glider for launch
5. The lift-off of the glider
6. The take-off run (hand tow)
7. Controlling the inflated glider overhead
8. Application and learning effects of controls
9. Aborting & Collapsing the glider
10. Preparing for next run
11. Dismantling & Packing of the trike
Day Two
On the second day you practice the assembling of the trike. Follow the Inspection procedures. Start up the engine for warming up. You make your first powered runs on the ground. A team of one Instructor & two assistants will be helping you around. By the end of this session you would have learnt:
1. Theory of flight
2. Thorough Inspection procedure of the trike
3. Pre-flight checks
4. Powered ground runs (Practice for take off)
5. Getting the feel of the throttle control and steering
6. Taxing and positioning for take off
7. Air Safety & emergency briefings
Day Three.
Third day you are made to repeat what you have learnt the first two days in the first half of the session. In the second half you are taught all the necessary theory required for your initial bunny flights. You'll be introduced to small hops.
In this session you will learn:
1. Theory of flight
2. Reinforcement of the lessons learnt in the previous sessions
3. Pre-flight checks
4. Radio Instructions and its jargon
5. Laying of the glider and attachments
6. Starting and warming of the engine
7. The take off run
8. Gentle lift off
9. Maintaining a trike a few feet above the ground
10. Smooth flare and touch down
11. The ground run for stopping
12. Controlling the glider for collapsing
13. Repeating the exercise a few times
14. De-briefing on the performance
Day Four
On the fourth day you practice what is learnt on the previous three days in the first half session. Instructors will closely and continuously keep a track on your progress and brief you on how to improve your performance. Briefing is given for the first circuit flight. You line up for the take off. Pre flight checks and warming of the engine. Under radio instructions, you'll be allowed to take-off, climb to 300 feet, make a full circuit and land all by yourself. If everything goes well, the instructor may allow you to go for one more flight.

If you wish to continue to fly the trike after the completion of the course, the hire cost of one flight of 30 mins, will be Rs.1500/- All such flights will be under the supervision of your instructor.
